Windows 與 Linux 實體與虛擬硬碟分割

Windows

• 實體分別：C槽,　D槽
• 沒有虛擬分別

Linux

• 實體分別：/dev/sda, /dev/sdb, /dev/sdc, /dev/sdd

• 虛擬分別：/, /home, swap

• Linux treats /home, /usr, /var... as folders, even if they are separate partitions (they are mounted at bootup).

• 不管怎麼掛載，怎麼分割，目錄樹仍舊會維持原來的結構。

• If you intend to have a server someday, I'd advise to use a separate /var partition, and probably a separate /usr and /tmp too.
